Pro Mineral is manufactured in a UFAS (Universal Feed Assurance Scheme), BETA NOPS (Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances), FEMAS (Feed Materials Assurance Scheme), ISO 22000 ( Food Safety Management System) certified state-of-the-art premix manufacturing facility.  Pro Mineral is produced using quality feed assured ingredients under strictly controlled production conditions and conforms to the requirements of EU and UK legislation governing the manufacture of animal feeding stuffs.

Pro Mineral is an ideal choice for supplementing your horse’s diet during the summer months when your horse is predominately out at grass.

If your horse is on a restricted grass or a hay/haylage-only diet, then we recommend feeding additional vitamin E. This is because research has shown that vitamin E is often deficient in the diets of horses that do not have access to continual grazing on fresh green grass, as well as in horses grazing on winter pasture. Vitamin E is considered an essential nutrient because it cannot be synthesized by the horse.
Alternatively, feed our Pro Balance + supplement which has vitamin E added to the formulation.

Pro Mineral is also useful for those horse owners who want to balance their horse’s diet but are unable to formulate a diet based on a bespoke forage analysis.

Feeding separate minerals can sometimes be time-consuming, complicated, and expensive. Pro Mineral can save horse owners time and money!

If ‘exceptional’ mineral concerns have been identified in a particular horse’s diet by forage analysis, then Pro Mineral can also be used as a building block feed balancer for which to formulate a bespoke feeding plan.

We recommend additional micronised linseed meal throughout the winter months or if a horse is fed predominantly hay/haylage, this is for the essential fatty acids that a horse may be short of when the grass is restricted. Essential Fatty Acids cannot be manufactured within the body & must be present in the diet.

Usage Level: one 25ml scoop supplies approximately 32 grams of product.
Suggested intake: 500kg Horse 1 – 1 & 1/2scoops per day. 300kg Ponies 1/2 to 1 scoop per day.
1 x 25ml scoop provides approx. 200mg of copper.

Do not exceed the above dose recommendations & adjust if other trace element sources are used.

Pro Mineral is a powdered supplement that we recommend is mixed in a soaked base feed.
When feeding for the first time, it is recommended to introduce gradually. If necessary start with just 5 ml and build up slowly

How long will a bag last?
A 1.8 kg bag of Pro Mineral will last:
56 days when fed at the rate of 32g (1 x 25 ml scoop) per day.
37 days fed at the rate of 48g (1 & half x 25ml scoops per day).

Usage level:

32g (1 x 30ml scoop) of Pro Mineral provides:

200 mg Copper
600 mg Zinc
6 g Magnesium
0.75 mg Selenium
2.49 g Phosphorus
3.74g Calcium

48g (1 & half x 30ml scoops) Of Pro Mineral Provides:

300 mg Copper
900 mg Zinc
9 g Magnesium
1.12 mg Selenium
3.74 g Phosphorus
5.61g Calcium

Please note our guidance on the use of Salt:

We recommend all horses should have free access to salt. However, a salt lick alone cannot be relied upon to cover maintenance & sweat requirements. Many horses do not choose to use the lick enough.
The amount of salt needed is variable depending on how much the horse sweats.

For example, a 500 kg Horse needs 10g of sodium per day (25g of salt) for maintenance needs, this is without exercise or sweating on hot days.
1 – 2 tablespoons of salt per day, added to the horse’s feed is a reasonable amount to cover maintenance requirements. 

Working horses will require additional electrolytes. Dissolving the salt in water & spraying on onto hay, can be an alternative option for picky eaters.

Analytical Constituents: Calcium 11.7%, Phosphorus 7.8%, Sodium 0.01%, Magnesium 19.1%, Crude Protein 1.33%, Crude Fibre 0.8, Crude fats & oils 0.28%,

Crude Ash 82%, AIA 1.3%, Starch 0.13%, 1.2% SS.

Additives (per kg):

Trace Elements: Copper (copper (II) sulphate pentahydrate 3b405) 6250mg/kg, Selenium (sodium selenite 3b801) 23.4 mg/kg, Zinc (zinc sulphate monohydrate 3b605) 18750 mg/kg.

Carriers: Dicalcium phosphate, Magnesium Oxide, Dried grass meal, Calcium Carbonate.

Usage Level: one 30ml scoop supplies approximately 32 grams of product.

Store in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight. Mix thoroughly into feed.
